“Broken Government” Revolution or Repair?

John Dean’s book “Broken Government” makes a strong and compelling case that The Government of the United States is indeed broken, and if Dean implied broken in half, the event of Trump’s presidency must be viewed as the Government having been shattered into little pieces, with each and every day of his dictatorship, viewed as pulverizing the pieces into powder – gun powder.

So it is in 2020, we are a house divided. (1) Conservatives fighting to the death to finally perfect their 50-year coup d’etat begun when Republican Conservative President Eisenhower, by Executive Order in 1954, added “under God’ to the Pledge of Allegiance”, and by his treacherous breach of separation of Church and State, he gave the key to the back door of the White House to every cross-bearing TV preacher, every fire-breathing Christian fanatic, and every  evangelical preacher panting and chanting to turn America into a Southern theocracy, (2) Conservatives, who Hillary Clinton once, almost as an aside, poignantly described as “going for the jugular,” are on a scorched-earth mission to rid the world of all non- Conservatives, (3) The wealthy 10% are at war to seize,  to control,  and to consume 90% of the country’s bounty and resources, (4) Conservative Republican politicians pledge allegiance  to the Neo-Conservative/Fascist Party, NOT to the Country, (5) The  Old South, aka the red states continue their passive-aggressive, and unabridged uncivil war against all  Federal programs, yet are first in line for Federal bailouts and handouts for hurricane relief, (6) FOX NEWS, a FATAL cancer on  the American psyche, perpetuates its pro-Conservative radicalization and militarism of white supremacists, Old South Apartheid holdovers, neo-Fascists, and Trump supporter, continues to divide the county as  Conservatives – the good guys, versus the Progressives –  totally bad guys who must be purged –“:political cleansing” and Trump voters against non-Trump voter —  all under the unconscionable subterfuge that their criminal incitement to overthrow the government – to replace the Republic with a conservative theocracy ruled by a dictator, named  Trump, to slander any and all who oppose them, to lie, to show a reckless disregard for the truth,  and to  misuse and abuse the publically owned air waves with an hourly  blitzkrieg of Conservative propaganda is  allowed by the  First Amendment “free speech,”.(7) Over the past 50 years, Conservatives, beginning with Nixon, have deliberately, contrived  und unconstitutionally out in place, a Conservative United States Supreme Court, and lesser federal courts, which, by design, violates every American’s right to a fair and impartial judiciary, in favor of a Conservative-biased judiciary., (8) An economic system of, by, and for capitalists, which invades and controls all other systems,(9) Politicians are elected according to the amount of money they personally control, and/or the amount of money they can raise, thus favoring the rich, eliminating the non-wealthy, from the political process,  (10) The Conservative Supreme Court, led by arch right-wing Judge Scalia passed “Citizens United” which allowed already super-rich Capitalists – almost all of whom are Conservatives to donate-control- bribe America’s politicians and America’s politics, (11) Lobbyists – paid to bribe politicians – violate every American’s 14^th Amendment  right to equal protections under the laws, (12) The clearest and most present danger to the Republic is its President Trump, who, with no training, no experience in  governance,  who became Commander in Chief, with no military experience other than buying off an army doctor to find a disqualifying  foot spur which didn’t exist so Trump could avoid serving his country, and whose diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, of which delusions of grandeur – believing he is the “greatest’ everything with  no factual corroborating  evidence, allows him to govern , not as a President, because he doesn’t know how, nor does he believe he needs to know, and instead is a rogue dictator representing only his own need to occupy center stage at whatever cost, and in two years, has managed to undo, contradict, interdict, and destroy two hundred and forty years of creating a  Republic, which had become a world leader and envy of the world.

So, given the preponderance of evidence that John Dean is correct in concluding that the Government of the United States is “broken,” is our choice revolution or repair knowing Conservatives, who took 50 years to take over the Government will fight to the death if we try to take back the Republic from the Republicans. If, on the other hand, we choose to repair, we will encounter just as wicked a war waged by the Conservatives to sabotage our efforts.  

In any event, in order to repair our Government the following steps to need to be taken, most of which are obvious and have already been stated by others.

1. Stop the bleeding and hemorrhaging — Get rid of Trump via impeachment. But here again, we have Conservative Senators, who, to a person, put Conservative Party before Country, are morally bankrupt, are without conscience, led by a fool and political bigot, and many who, like camera chasing “Lily” Graham, already announced their verdict before the trial begins. (In a real court of law, all those who admit to bias and therefore being unable to be fair and impartial, must recuse themselves. Or, let the elections rid us of Trump?  Too much at stake;, FOX News with its covey of confederate Carl Rove and Hitler/Goebbels propagandist wannabees, and a lazy –“ifin it don’t affect me directly, I don’t vote.” We ought to be able to dump Trump via the 25^th Amendment, by VP “bobble-head” Pence has his nose up Trump’s butt.
2. A class action suit against FOX News for deceptive business practices and fraud to get their license as a “news agency revoked.
3. Eliminate ALL campaign financing, by any and all sources. The public owns the airwave. Each and every candidate for public office gets the same amount of air and media time and the same amount of public financing. Perhaps a minimal number of signatures would be needed to qualify as a legitimate contender,
4. Citizens United must be revoked as a violation a citizen’s 14^th Amendment right to the same voting protections and privileges as a corporation.
5. No lobbyists. no business, no organization, special interest group, or company, or corporation should have more access to a politician than an individual citizen would have, 
6. Term limits — two terms for Senators and Congressmen and six years for Federal judges. (These were never intended to be career, and NO ONE should be given the chance to abuse power of their office likely to occur in “for life” positions.
7. The criminal justice be overhauled to conform to the restitution system already being used in the civil law and the science of “negative reinforcement ‘ as outlined in the  previous blog “The criminal pays,”
8. Revise the nation’s educational system based on Dewey’s dictum “Children learn best by doing” that an individual child’s education recapitulates the learning of the species so, for example the 10^th grader would relive and experience the world’s industrial revolution – 1820-1920.
9. There be a universal law against lying – making a false statement the person knew was a lies, told the lie anyway causing the person to whom the lie was told to act on the lie as if it were true and, as the result to incur proved damages for which the defendant is liable.
10. Reassert that the United States of America is a secular Republic in which the line between State and Church is etched in the cornerstone of our Republic and must never be compromised. Giving land to a religious organization and not requiring a tax on that land violate “establishes that religion.)
11. Every citizen’s child has a right to a public education in which its teachers are paid the same as a private school in the community, to wit the students at Exeter public schools earn the same as those at Phillips Exeter Academy.
12. Every citizen and their children have a right to free medical care medical care equal to that of those receiving private care
13. Every citizen has the right to free legal representation equal to the representation provided to private litigants,
14. New technology allows citizens immediate access to the bills, laws, and  policies being discussed and voted on, giving them access to the politics in town, city, states, and federal governments, making democracy – citizen participations without a middleman – a representative – possible for the first time since the Athenian experiment with democracy
