“Broken Government” – Repair or Revolution?

John Dean, a far more knowledgeable person that I, wrote a seminal book, “Broken Government,” putting into words, that which I first felt during “trickle-down economics” Reagan’s Reign of Errors,”, to wit his secreted depression which caused unemployment to reach 10.38%, the highest since the Great depression, and  production to be lowest since the Great Depression, all of which was swept under the rug by the Conservative Republican controlled national media. (Reagan did his share to cover his failed “trickle-down economics” by invading super power Granada, As I recall 17 American soldiers were killed – took one for the “Gipper”.

Just as Democrat Roosevelt rescued us from Conservative Republican Hoover’s Great Depression, Democrat Clinton cleaned up Reagan’s mess, turning Conservative Republican Reagan’s deficit into a surplus.

But American’s have poor, if not ‘selective, memories, leading them to repeat their mistakes, so they next elect another Conservative Republican President – dumb ole George “Dubya” Bush, who – are you ready for this  — did Reagan’s failed “trickle-down” economics all over again, with, of course the same outcome – Dubya’s Not-So-Great Depression, euphemistically referred to as “Dubya’s Meltdown,” (Ok, so we know the real power brokers in the Republican Party “The Old Guard” with old money, offered the naïve American voter Dubya who they can control. So the Bush’s were “new money” but Yankee “new money,” and enough of it to gain entry into the Republican hierarchy. And Dubya had gone to Yale, albeit based solely on “legacy” – Poppy Bush had preceded his prodigal son with some distinction, to wit, he had been an All-American first baseman on the Yale baseball. Dubya, by contrast was known as an un-American campus drunk.

Dubya, who had been a fiscal and leadership disastrous Texas   governor, was now going to “break” the government of the United States by illegally and under false pretense invading Afghanistan – fraudulently assigning guilt for 9/11 on Afghanistan instead of friends of the Bush family, Saudi Arabia, and being oblivious to the fact that Russia had invaded Afghanistan, and 10 years later retreated with their tail between their legs. (19 years later we are still fighting Dubya’s .illegal, fraudulent, and unwinnable war.

It gets worse, much worse. Dubya, who had been Mommy Bush’s favorite, uber alles, had always come in second to Poppy Bush – Poppy Bush was a decorated war hero: Dubya deserted his Air National Guard Unit to avoid active duty in Vietnam. Poppy made his oil moneylegally. Dubya’s oil company tanked right after Harvard tainted money paid Dubya $600,000 for his worthless stock, which he invested in the Texas Rangers Baseball team. Next, Dubya and the other owners conned the good citizens of Arlington to pay for a new stadium, which increased the value of the team, so Dubya ad his confederate investors sold the team and Dubya walked away with $15 MILLION prophet, all from sleazy dealings.

In fact, Dubya never earned an honest dollar in his life – It should have been Dubya not Nixon who falsely claimed, “I’m no crook”

Poppy Bush chose not to invade Iraq after driving him out of Kuwait in the “100 days war” called Desert Storm.

Dubya, now President, does the sleaze of all sleazes, to wit, aided and abetted by paranoid personality Dick –shoot-first- and-forge-to-ask questions-Cheney, lied to Congress, lied to the American people, and lied to the United Nations that Iraq’s Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destructions with “nukes” aimed at the United State, all so Dubya could justify “taking out’ – assassinating Hussein – for the first time in Dubya’s life, doing something Poppy didn’t – wouldn’t do!

The cost of Dubya’s treacherous, obscene, war crime- 7,000 American soldiers killed – more than twice the number killed in 9/11, thousand more wounded, an estimated 300,000 Iraqi civilians killed, trillions of dollars wasted, and the loss of trust by Americans in their government perhaps fatal.

It gets worse. Dubya’s trickle-down economics, as it had for Reagan, caused a third Conservative Republican Depression, euphemistically called “Dubya’s Meltdown” costing millions of Americans o lose their homes, and jobs. (John Dean was correct. America’s government was broken, or was it/)

And like the other two depression before, a Democrat President named Obama, would rescue us maybe.

Once again, Americans failed to learn from its mistakes .It was as if Dubya’s taking us to the brink was in mass denial – as if narcissistic personality Bush II never happened.

So after 8 years of recovery – convalescing under “doctor” Obama, Americans do Dubya all over again in Donald Trump – another Narcissistic Personality Disorder,, but this one is a thug on steroids. Yes Dubya was a total sleaze, but Trump is a armed (with propaganda) and an imminent danger to the Republic, Americans, and the world. If Dubya is “Tricky Dick” Nixon, Trump is America’s Hitler.

First, Trump exploits Dubya’s victims of his meltdown — those millions who lost their homes and jobs, by propagandizing blame on Obama not Dubya, propagandizing/stealing credit from Obama for the recovery for himself, and soon has those victims at his feet as his soldiers – red hats instead of Hitler’s brown shirts.

Next he joins Mitch “The Bitch” McConnell in a scheme to unconstitutionally seize Conservative  control of the US Supreme Court by refusing to allow in Obama’s  nomination, and once Trump is president, seating Conservative zealots Gorsuch and Kavanaugh as Supreme Court justices,

Trump already had usurped control of the Republican Party, the Executive and Legislative Branches, the Military as Commander in Chief, and aided and abetted by Ultra-Conservative FOX News, whose license should have never been issued as it is NOT news, but blatant in-your-face Conservative propaganda, with the result, that the United States in 2020, under dictator Trump, is like Germany under in Hitler in 1938,

Conservatives and their military counterpart Fascists move in only one inexorable direction – to the right – tightening the noose more and more until war or revolution.

John Dean has correctly stated our Government is broken. Will we revolt or repair/

I will humbly offer you repairs for you to consider in my next blog.
