A capitalist society which exists for, by, and of citizens lusting for money must be, at its roots, an evil society, n’est pas? So, when I open my bottle of B 12 vitamins and find a 5-inch long x 2-inch wide wad of cotton bent in half, taking up 60% of the bottle, rather than beating my chest and cursing “Nature Made’s capitalists, I should make the sign of the cross to the god of capitalism.
Confession: I prayed, “Where is Andy Rooney when we need him more than ever!”
Instead, I wailed to find the person or persons at “Nature Made,” who decided to stuff 60% of my bottle of B12 Vitamins with cotton – fraud in the inducement – dupe me into buying 40% for the vitamins but 60% for a wedge of cotton. Did he or she have kids – not more than two. I bet he/she cheated on his/her spouse, lied on his/her tax return, attended church or synagogue every Sunday or Saturday, was a Republican, belonged to a bunch of organizations, drove a Mercedes, and had guest rooms which were never used.
